Hyeseong Kim played a pivotal role in the Dodgers' World Series run as a pinch runner who scored the series-winning run in Game 4 of the Division Series and later as a defensive substitute in the final inning of Game 7 of the World Series. Despite appearing in only two postseason games and not starting in any, he was a key factor in two decisive moments.

  • Pinch runner in the Division Series: In the bottom of the 11th inning of Game 4 against the Philadelphia Phillies, Kim came in as a pinch runner and scored the go-ahead run, which secured the Dodgers' advance to the Championship Series.
  • Defensive substitute in the World Series: In the bottom of the 11th inning of Game 7 of the World Series, he entered the game as a defensive replacement and recorded the first putout, which helped the Dodgers win the championship.
  • Limited playing time: Kim was on the postseason roster but did not start in any of the 17 games. His contribution was focused on these two impactful appearances.
